Where antique watch enthusiasts meet once a year
In the southern Black Forest at an altitude of almost 850 meters, the Black Forest town of Furtwangen is surrounded by hills which are heavily forested and the mountain Brend, with around 1100 meters offers a magnificent view over the Black Forest countryside to the Alps.
Once Furtwangen was one of the centers of the Black Forest clock industry with companies like BADUF, LFS or Union clock to name just three. And before that time many tinkerers were Blazed in their workshops and Black Forest farms to produce the world-famous Black Forest Shield Clocks, flute clocks or cuckoo clocks.
